Cryptocurrency investment product firm 21.co hired David Josse as its chief technology officer to boost the firm’s leadership and product developments.

Josse spent about 10 years at investment bank Goldman Sachs as its global head of data engineering and business intelligence for the firm’s Marcus product. Most recently, Josse was CTO of digital asset exchange Symbridge.

21.co recently raised $25 million in a funding round that gave it a valuation of $2 billion, providing the firm with the cash to develop more crypto product offerings and to grow its geographic presence. The company recently expanded into the U.S.

Josse called his decision to join the firm a "no brainer," saying that 21.co’s vision, execution and ability to remain profitable had impressed him. Josse will be based in 21.co’s New York office.
